Ima just review your reviews. I didnt watch fleabag, so i‘m intrigued. Crashing was fine Fargo seems cool, i might watch it.. Love: i hated both characters. I still kinda liked the show because i‘m sad and lonely myself but goddamn these people are unlikable Love new girl, agreed Fuck parcs and rec. Didnt watch 30rock, but iwanna watch it Unbreakable: thought it was unfunny and predictable so i stopped watching at some point but maybe it has some merit. Didnt watch sex and the city. Dont trust the b in apt 23 is very chill and enjoyable. Jane by design, NO CLUE what it is.. House is a dick, but decent show. Stopped watching at some point tho Bojack horseman is probably the best animated show i‘ve ever seen (🎶back in the ninetees i was in a very faamous tv-shoow🎵 fucking amazing) John mulaney is cool, i like him too. Big mouth is cool too. Daniel sloss, who dis? Katherine ryan is cool af. Love her too Bo burnham is honestly the best Years and years, dont know of this show The girlfriend experience, no clue. Maniac is surprisingly good. Jonah hill is way too talented Big little lies is also unknown to me Friends from college. Like the cast, disliked the show. I stopped watching tho, so once again, it might be good. Better call saul is soooo good. Fucking love the show. (I know my comment would be better with timestamps but i‘m lazy, so i‘m sorry) You missed some shows i like: Hollywood Mindhunter Community Vikings (first 4seasons) Love death and robots Mad men Dogs of berlin The end of the fucking world (s1) Peaky blinders F is for family (bill burrs animated show) Master of none Ozark Brookyln99 Suits Castle The menatlist Lucifer Prisonbreak (s1 especially) People probably know most of em but some might be unknown. My favourite is californication btw. Loved that one.

Hey Ashley, I've enjoyed listening to you for the past few years and feel like I can really relate with you. The way you express the intricacies of life is something I especially admire. Some of the shows you recommended that I've watched are John Mulaney and Love. Idk if you watch kdramas, tbh I don't really, but there's this one I recently watched that I think you might like called Itaewon class. It touches on social taboos in South Korea "A sociopath. An ex-convict. A transgender. A high school dropout. And a guy of half Korean, half African descent," and overcomes it in the most bad ass way with an OP girl who isn't that delicate dependent-on-a-guy-type. In fact, she is a girl that helps save and heals the main guy. Anyway ahhh I'm so grateful to be able to hear your brain during this time. I have such few friends and the few that I do I don't get ones that do deep dive conversations like you - this includes my SO that I live with -sigh-. It's quite refreshing. Cheers! P.S. I really think you should pay a visit to your family and take a break some time with everything going on :')

I recommend Good Omens! It's a TV show based on a book with the same name that's written by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett. Neil Gaiman also wrote the TV Script for Good Omens! It's about Armageddon(The End of the world Bible Version) but it's very funny. An Angel and a Demon who have lived on earth together since the beginning of it are the main focus.

When you like a show about teenagers and their mental health I would recommend the series The end of the fucking world. It just makes you wonder what will happen next, because oh boy, you´re going to be in on a wild ride. Also on a similar note is a british series called My mad fat diary. I think it accurately describes a life of a depressed teenager and that there is a way of getting better. And overall both of these shows have a really good character development.

I agree with so many of your choices :) I was really impressed with Fleabag, especially because I loved the second season even more than the first one which is rare. And you reminded me of how awesome Big Little Lies is. Here are a few shows I really liked throughout the years: A really heartwarming show that I have watched 3 times is Lovesick, which follows the lives of 3 roommates throughout their twenties by revisiting one roommate's past relationships. I also really liked You're the worst, which to me is a lot like Love, it is a pretty interesting look at relationships and mental health. The good place is a comedy about life after death, and The good wife is an incredibly good TV show (coming from someone who passionately dislikes lawyer TV shows) about a woman who tries to go back into law after her husband who is in the public eye cheats on her and it takes a look at her struggles, successes, the way she develops into her own person again after being "the wife of..." for a long time. I hope you like them, if you decide to watch them and I hope you stay sane :) Life is very very very slowly going back to normal here in Germany, you guys will make it, too

I strongly recommend "Little Fires Everywhere", it's rare I actually sit down and watch shows especially ones that I have to wait every week for but I was sitting waiting every Thursday for new episodes to come out. In short, it follows two families one is portrayed as the 'perfect' family in the perfect suburb and when a mother and daughter move to the same suburb problems arise and so many secrets come out. i was sitting there audibly gasping at what was going down in the show, so anyone pleaseeeee watch!!!! :)

I love, love, love Big Little Lies! It was so GOOD. Also the choice of Alexander Skarsgard as Perry was brilliant. I feel like you would like the movie gattaca. It's set in the future (even though it has a film noir aesthetic) where everyone is genetically designed and the people that are born normally are the outcasts of society. The main character tries to fake being genetically made in order to achieve his career goals. It makes you think about the nature vs nurture debate and how grit & determination can override prejudice if you're passionate enough

  • veronica ruth

Nice little review I agree with most of your picks. Just a note, Nicole Kidman relates so well to her character in big little lies cuz she was married to Tom Cruise and he was super controlling, and from what I heard over the years, violent, manic and at the least verbally abusive. I think the show means a LOT to her because of that. I like all the scenes with her because I think that she weaves a lot of their life together into that role. I really dislike Tom Cruise and love it that she can do this show to stick it to him. I heard an interview with her where she as much as said that it was like her own story. Cruise took their adopted kids from her when they divorced.
